Michael Bowlds, Mountaintop Marketing, President

Mountaintop Marketing Group is led and managed by Michael Bowlds. Michael is an award winning sales, business development, and marketing professional with over 15 years experience marketing and extending services to the government, financial, corporate, and academic markets. A well recognized and highly regarded member of the government contracting community, Mr. Bowlds is often called upon to provide presentations, speeches, and government marketing seminars throughout the country.

Mr. Bowlds began his public sector sales career with Primark/Disclosure (PFID - now Thompson Financial). Mr. Bowlds was selected to lead PFID's Mid-West Regional Sales Office in Chicago, IL. Upon leaving Primark and establishing highly successful sales/marketing tenures with other major corporate and government sales organizations, Mr. Bowlds established Mountaintop Marketing Group. Mountaintop was founded in2001 fueled by Mr. Bowlds' sincere passion to support to small businesses throughout the country. Providing comprehensive advertising and marketing solutions for B2B sales, Mountaintop soon established a focus on Government marketing and business development services. In 2005, Mountaintop Marketing Group partnered with GSA Awards, a Cleveland based government marketing firm, to offer "GSA Biz Opps," an online government marketing, business development, and research portal to assist government buyers, prime contractors and small businesses to exchange and align services to the United States government. Mr. Bowlds is co-owner of GSA Biz Opps, Inc. Mountaintop was realigned as a Limited Liability Company (LLC) in 2006.

Mr. Bowlds and Mountaintop Marketing Group continue to represent a number of government business development research tool providers via strategic partnerships and reseller agreements. Mr. Bowlds was named to the Board of Directors for the National Women’s Business Center (NWBC) September 1, 2006 and on November 15, 2006, Mr. Bowlds was named to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Council.

Mr. Bowlds continues to feed his passion to assist small businesses via his support of government agency small business programs where he provides training and best practices seminars and workshops. Mr. Bowlds is a native of Indianapolis, Indiana. A Computer Science major from the University of Maryland, Mr. Bowlds also holds two engineering certifications (MCSE, NCE). Mr. Bowlds is a proud Veteran of the United States Air Force.

Christopher Archer, Radius Technology Group, President and Founder

Mr. Archer is the Founder and President of Radius Technology Group, (Radius) a certified 8(a) Information Assurance and Information Technology (IT) security services company. Mr. Archer established the company in 2001 in response to the Public Sector’s need to effectively manage and protect data investments. Radius’ scalable IT security programs address security requirements for management, operations and technical organizations. With over 17 years of management and operational experience, Mr. Archer’s areas of technical expertise include systems design and implementation, project management, accounting, IT auditing and FISMA compliance.

Prior to starting Radius, Mr. Archer was a Senior Consultant with KPMG, LLP. As a key member of the Mid-Atlantic Risk Advisory Services Practice, he was responsible for lead audit and advisory teams assessing the security for public and private organizations. Mr. Archer joined KPMG from Coca Cola Enterprises (CCE), where he was hired to manage their Mid-Atlantic Division’s cost accounting system, consisting of over $200 million worth of inventory. He implemented a series of business process re-engineering and procedural changes that reduced inventory related costs by 10%.

Mr. Archer is a resident of Bethesda, Maryland and he holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Howard University. He is also a member of the Institute of Management Consultants and Silver Spring Chamber of Commerce.


Rebecca Gordon, North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health Care System, Vice President of Employee Labor Relations

Ms. Gordon has over 30 years of experience as a Human Resources (HR) professional in the health care industry. She currently serves as Vice President of Employee and Labor Relations for the North Shore-Long Island Jewish (NSLIJ) Health system. With over 37,000 non-union and union represented employees, it is the largest integrated health care system in the New York Metropolitan area. She has vast experience and knowledge in the fields of human resource management, employee training and development, talent acquisition, employee wellness and assistance programs, industry compliance standards and collective bargaining. She has successfully negotiated many collective bargaining contracts with unions representing professional, technical, clerical and service employees. Ms. Gordon has demonstrated unique and outstanding leadership capabilities in building and implementing successful strategies which have greatly improved and increased labor management cooperation, employee satisfaction, job performance metrics, and employee productivity standards. She has served as a consultant to an international health care HR coalition, sharing best practices in interest based problem solving methods. She is also a senior member of the NSLIJ Corporate University, instructing all levels of management and front line employees on HR practices and leadership principles. Ms. Gordon serves in the capacity of trustee on various multi-employer TAFT - HARTLEY funds. In addition, she is a member of various professional organizations including the American Health Care Human Resources Association. Ms. Gordon is a graduate of Hunter College with B.S. in Urban Affairs and a minor in Education.

Martin Shaw, Shaw Communications, President

Mr. Shaw has over 16 years experience in the telecommunications industry holding various positions with AT&T, and Comcast from installer to customer service representative to Manager of information systems. From these positions he gained valuable experience in customer service and installation techniques involving cable, data and telephony. Five years ago Mr. Shaw established Shaw Communications, LLC, a home cable, satellite installation contracting sub partner with DirecTV. At its inception with very little start up capitol but a clear vision, Mr. Shaw grew his fleet to 30 trucks and 2 locations serving the entire Washington, D.C. metro area within 2 years. Shaw Communications remains a valued partner of DirecTV. In addition Mr. Shaw is a graduate of Howard University with a B.S degree in Psychology. He is also the proud father of three.
